Students will study the story of America from a Christian worldview beginning with the pre-colonization period through the Civil War era. This course will cover the historical facts of our history as well as how God has moved in our nation. Using primary source documents, we will analyze historical themes, compare and contrast historical events, and learn to think critically about the past.

Students will continue the story of America from a Christian worldview, beginning with the Reconstruction Era.  This course will cover the historical facts of our history as well as how God has moved in our nation.  Using primary source documents, we will analyze historical themes, compare and contrast historical events, and learn to think critically about the past.  We will start our journey with Reconstruction and end with Desert Storm and the Middle East, exploring how the past has forged the America of today.

(Pre-requisite: American History I & II) - Students will develop an understanding of government and economics through a study of our founding documents, the Constitution of the United States, the government of foreign countries, and our government at the national, state, and local levels.  Studies on our great leaders, important events, world-changing legislation, and social programs will add texture to the course content. This course will also cover basic economic principles, personal finance, labor, business, the global economy, and the issues and problems facing Americans today.

In World History, we will utilize a Christian worldview to explore history from Creation to the 21st century.  This course will start with the beginning of our world and work to relate the major points in history to our lives now. Current events and issues will be discussed as they are relative to the historical topics being studied, and there will be a strong focus on historical figures and civilizations.

In World History Honors, we will utilize a Christian worldview to explore history from Creation to the 21st century. With a strong focus on historical figures and civilizations, students will work to draw conclusions about how our modern world relates to history.  An ability to think critically and empathetically about history will be sharpened as students write about history and find parallels across different civilizations of the world.
